For a long time,

I have been afraid.

Of being in the dark,

Without a way.

Why is it that I can’t find a way,

Why is it that I can’t see a way.

My heart burnt with rage,

My mind drifting away.

I suddenly,

See a dim light.

My heart rejoicing,

In the glory of night.

And then,

The answer strikes.

In a moment,

It is clear as a bright sky.

My mistake so obvious,

So childish when I realized.

It’s not so much to do with the world,

Rather it’s what I should have done in a way.

Long it’s been, I felt,

Since the time I sensed light.

Long it’s been, I felt,

Since the time I sensed warmth

For the way ahead in the dark,

Is not easy my friend.

For the only way ahead,

Is to keep on pursuing my friend.

With this I say to myself,

That after dark is light.

Because I will always be in the dark,

Before I see the world in the full glory of day.
